What will Team USA athletes wear for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2024 Olympic Games?

Just days before the opening of the Olympic Games, the United States has unveiled the uniforms that its delegation will wear during the ceremonies in Paris 2024. Designer Ralph Lauren revealed the attire for the U.S. athletes for the Olympic event, which will officially commence on July 26 and conclude on Sunday, August 11.

For the opening ceremony, where the various competing delegations will parade in boats on the River Seine, the athletes will wear jeans and blue jackets with red and white stripes over a striped Oxford shirt. The men’s outfits will include ties.

For the closing ceremony, the uniform features a predominantly white racing-style jacket adorned with patches commemorating Team USA and each athlete’s sport, along with white pants with ‘Team USA’ written on the left leg.

How many times has Ralph Lauren dressed Team USA at the Olympics

This will be the ninth time Ralph Lauren has designed the Team USA uniforms for the Olympic Games, and the fifth consecutive time after Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020. The last time Ralph Lauren did not design the uniforms for Team USA was for the Athens 2004 Olympics, when Roots was the designer.
