Noah Lyles, who aims to be Usain Bolt’s successor, showed outstanding capabilities at the 2023 World Athletics Championships held in Budapest. He was the first man to complete the sprint treble at a World Championships since Usain Bolt in 2015.

He even made more headlines when he announced after the last US trials that he would follow him in the events that the Jamaican usually did at the great competitions: 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4x100 meter relay.

When does Noah Lyles compete in the Paris Olympics 2024?

At the Tokyo Olympics, Lyles’s first Olympic Games participation, following the only race (200m) he managed to qualify, and despite leading off the turn in the final, he was forced to settle for bronze as Andre De Grasse and Bednarek passed him. Lyles opened up about his mental health struggles leading up to the games, especially the pandemics, and the problems with the preparations he had during this period.

In a way, in Paris, we’ll see his “redemption Games” as he is in the form of his life, shown at the races this season, including the US trials and the Diamond League meetings.

The Paris Games track&field competitions will start on Thursday, Aug. 1, and conclude on Sunday, Aug. 11. The American Noah Lyles will compete on the following days:

  • Men's 100m: Saturday, Aug. 3, to Sunday, Aug. 4
