When is Team USA’s next game in the 2024 Olympics in Paris? Men’s basketball group stage schedule
The United States opened their account at the Olympic Games against Serbia on Sunday.
The United States got their 2024 Olympic Games campaign underway with a 110-84 win against a resilient Serbia side who pushed them hard throughout.
Team USA are the firm favourites to win the gold medal in men’s basketball once again, although they were less convincing they would’ve hoped in a couple of their warm-up games for the tournament.
In the group stage of the Olympic tournament, Steve Kerr’s team were drawn against Serbia, South Sudan and Puerto Rico in Group B at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, which is about 140 miles to the north of Paris.
While Team USA comfortably defeated Serbia 105-79 in a Showcase game in Abu Dhabi on July 17, they almost suffered a huge shock against South Sudan in London on July 20. 15 points in arrears at one point and facing their biggest ever defeat, the US rallied to win 101-100 right at the death.

- Game 2: Team USA - South Sudan | Wednesday, July 31, 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT
- Game 3: Puerto Rico - Team USA | Saturday, August 3, 11:15 a.m. ET / 8:15 a.m. PT
The top two teams from Groups A, B and C will progress to the quarterfinals, along with the two best third-placed nations. The teams with the best records in the group stage will be seeded in the draw for the last eight, and will face those who had the worst.
The quarterfinals are scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, with the semfinals to be played on Thursday, August 8. The gold and bronze medal matches are set for Saturday, August 10, the penultimate day of the Olympics.
