One of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games’ biggest attractions, the men’s USA basketball team, are making their last preparations before competing in the mega sports event in the French capital and will play their last friendly matchup against Germany in London.
Steve Kerr’s stars have won all four games they have played, defeating Canada, Australia, Serbia, and South Sudan. However, although the team has some of the biggest NBA stars, they almost tasted defeat against the African national team.
Lebron James came to the rescue to save the USA in a match the Americans edged 101-100, but South Sudan showed that James, Curry & co. will need to be at their best if they want to clinch the Gold medal in Paris.
“A good reminder that when we play against teams, it’s the biggest game of their lives. We have to expect everyone to play like that”, Kerr said after the game.
“I’m going to be honest: I like those better than the blowouts. At least we get tested”, James added after the USA beat South Sudan.
