The bulk of the golfers who decided to play in LIV’s premier event last week outside London left the tour to avoid being suspended. Yet there are a few of them who chose to remain. Among them, the most renowned name is Phil Mickelson. He expected to return to the tour one day, citing his lifetime membership to the organization twice.

I’ve earned that lifetime membership, so I believe it should be my choice,” he said.

Dustin Johnson

Dustin Hunter Johnson is an American professional golfer and former number 1. He has won two major championships, the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club and the 2020 Masters Tournament. Johnson turned professional in late 2007. LIV Golf paid Johnson $150 million for stating his allegiance to the new golf circuit. Comparatively, Johnson, a former world No. 1 player, ranks third all-time in PGA Tour earnings history... with $73.4 million.

Sergio García Fernández “El Niño” is a Spanish professional golfer. He has played in the European, PGA, and LIV Golf Invitational Series. García has won 36 international tournaments as a professional, most notably the 2008 Players Championship and the 2017 Masters Tournament. The player’s signing for the million-dollar Saudi league is the latest chapter in a career full of talent and swag.

Kevin Na

Kevin Sangwook Na is a Korean American professional golfer. He was a member of the PGA Tour until June 2022, when he quit joining LIV Golf. He won five tournaments on the PGA Tour between 2011 and 2021. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Na emigrated with his family to the United States when he was eight years old, settling in southern California.

Talor Gooch

30-year-old Talor Gooch is an American professional golfer born in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He played college golf at Oklahoma State University, and Gooch’s only professional win came at the RSM Classic in 2021. The American joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series in May 2022 and placed 9th in the LIV Golf London at Centurion Club, earning him $580,000.

Louis Oosthuizen

Oosthuizen stated before that he believes that the PGA Tour and LIV Golf Series can coexist but says he is grateful to the PGA Tour for his career up until now.
