The RBC Canadian Open gets underway today with a strong field that includes the world’s second ranked player, Rory McIlroy. No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is sitting this one out although is delighted that recent issues have been concluded.

The Hamilton Golf and Country Club plays host to the action – where the eventual winner will receive the top prize of $1,690,000 – which comes to a close on Sunday evening, all going well. As with several other tournaments, both the 1st and the 10th tees are being used to get more players onto the course earlier and we have some exciting groups to look forward to on the opening day including top seed McIlroy going out with last year’s winner, and local man, Nick Taylor, along with Taylor Pendrith. And there’s a record 28 Canadian’s in this year’s competition.
