Saturday night in Riyadh was a boxing clash worthy of crowing an undisputed heavyweight world champion. Oleksandr Usyk was a worthy winner, although only securing a narrow split decision victory over Tyson Fury.

Despite being smaller than Fury, Usyk started strong, endured a tough middle phase, before rallying back, even forcing Fury into a standing count in the ninth round. This win makes Usyk the first boxer to simultaneously hold all four major heavyweight belts since Lennox Lewis in 2000.

And as the dust settled the next morning, another heavyweight challenger took to social media with an enigmatic post. What did Anthony Joshua mean with this stare?

The fight saw Usyk dominate early rounds, Fury staging a comeback in the fourth with aggressive body shots, and Usyk ultimately turning the tide in the eighth and ninth rounds. Usyk expressed gratitude for the opportunity and vowed to grant Fury an immediate rematch. As the fighters embraced at the bell, there were also some very surprising comments made.
