Applications open for 2024/25 SIGA Youth Council
Aspiring young leaders aged 18-29 who are passionate about Sport Integrity are invited to apply for the third class of the SYC.
The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has announced that applications are open for the third class of the SIGA Youth Council (SYC). Established in 2020, the SYC aims to engage young people between the ages of 18 and 29 in SIGA’s reform agenda, drive Good Governance in Sport, and give aspiring young leaders a platform for their views on Sport Integrity to be heard.
About the 2024/25 SIGA Youth Council (SYC)
The first two classes of the SYC laid the foundations for young leaders from around the world to design and implement a range of impactful projects, initiatives and events related to Sport Integrity, culminating in the release of the first ever “SIGA Youth Council Survey: New Perceptions on Sport Integrity.”
The third, 18-month term will begin in July 2024, with appointing a Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary, as well establishing an autonomous Action Plan, among the key tasks to be undertaken. Preparations will also begin for a youth-driven thought-leadership event during Sport Integrity Week 2024, which the SYC will host in November.
Members of the SYC will be able to contribute in a number of different areas according to their interests, including, among others, research projects, policy documents, public speaking engagements, event management, social media campaigns, podcasts, stakeholder relationship building, and report of activities.
Participation in the SYC will offer members a number of benefits:
Interested parties can apply here from Monday 27 May 2024 onwards, with the application period closing on Friday 21 June 2024. The SIGA Youth Council is aimed at young people aged 18-29 who are passionate about Sport Integrity and Good Governance reform.
