Audi already have an official name, logo and presentation date
The team from the four-ring brand is named Audi Revolut F1 Team and will present the complete design of the R26, its single-seater, on January 20 in Berlin.

It was the end of an era in Abu Dhabi. Peter Sauber, now 82, watched as the team he founded in 1993 made its final appearance on the Formula 1 grid.
After decades competing under different partnerships — from BMW to Alfa Romeo — the Hinwil-based outfit has officially closed its chapter. Starting in 2026, Audi will take the reins.
Audi’s new identity in F1
Audi has confirmed its entry into Formula 1 with a fresh name, logo, and launch date. Partnering with British fintech giant Revolut, the team will debut as the Audi Revolut F1 Team.
According to Audi, the alliance aims to create new ways for fans to engage — from exclusive race access to app-based perks. Revolut will also integrate its business and payment platforms into the team’s operations, including its online store.

The Audi R26 reveal
While the new team name is big news, fans are eagerly awaiting the car itself. Audi teased a design sketch last November featuring black, gray, and red. The full Audi R26 will be unveiled on January 20 in Berlin, followed by a public event the next day.
Just a week later, the car will hit the track in Barcelona for preseason testing (January 26–30), with Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto behind the wheel.
Sauber becomes Audi Motorsport AG
Sauber Motorsport AG will be renamed Audi Motorsport AG, while the recently opened tech hub in Bicester, England, will complement facilities in Germany and Switzerland. To honor its legacy, only Sauber Holding AG and Sauber Technologies AG will retain the Sauber name.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner emphasized the vision: “We’re pursuing a clear identity, reflecting a strong vision and innovative spirit.”
Leadership speaks
Project director Mattia Binotto praised the milestone: “This announcement gives a name and face to the incredible work the team is doing. The team is taking shape, driven by precision and relentless ambition.”
