Australian Open 2023: Who plays today, January 18?

We’re into the second round at the first major of 2023, with Rafael Nadal and Iga Swiatek in action. Emma Raducanu and Coco Gauff meet at the Rod Laver Arena.

Top-seeded on Wednesday at the 2023 Australian Open, Rafael Nadal will begin his defense of the championship when he faces Mackenzie McDonald of the United States of America in the second round of the tournament at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

Iga Swiatek, the number one seed in the women’s singles competition, will play Camila Osorio of Colombia in the round of 64. In one of the most anticipated matchups of Day 3, Emma Raducanu and Coco Gauff will go head-to-head against each other.

On Tuesday Andy Murray come back from the brink of elimination to beat Italian Berrettini (6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-7(9), 7(10)-6(6)) and clinch a spot on the next round. While Novak Djokovic also went through, though in a far simpler manner, beating Spaniard Carballés Baena in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-0.
