Crawford issues warning to Canelo: “I’m not coming to Las Vegas to have fun”
The American insists he’s not in Sin City to have fun as he prepares for the September 13 fight on Netflix.

Beyond the fact that most experts see Canelo Álvarez as the favorite against Terence Crawford, the 154-pound champion has arrived in Las Vegas full of confidence and even issued a warning to the Mexican fighter just days before their long-awaited September 13 clash, which will stream on Netflix.
During their first face-off, Crawford took questions from the press. When asked how he planned to enjoy his stay in Las Vegas, he made it clear: “I didn’t come to Las Vegas to have fun.”
Despite having to leap from 154 pounds to 168, the American remains convinced he will defeat the reigning super middleweight king, who has yet to lose at the weight.
A hostile atmosphere
Beyond having one of the sport’s best in front of him, Crawford also faces a hostile environment. Proof came when he was loudly booed during the promotional event, though he insists it doesn’t bother him.

“I don’t care if they boo me or why they do it. On Saturday, it’s going to be me against Canelo, not me against the crowd. In the end, they’ll all be silent,” Crawford said just days before the big fight.
He now has the chance to make history by becoming the first boxer to be undisputed champion in three different divisions. He first achieved the feat in August 2017 by defeating Julius Indongo, then repeated it in July 2023 by unifying the welterweight titles against Errol Spence.
