Englishman Harry Hall continues to lead the field at the Charles Schwab Challenge but has been joined at the top of the leaderboard by Adam Schenk after a disappointing round on Saturday. Hall held a three-shot advantage heading into the third round but carded a two-over par 72 to come back to the field, while Schenk posted a second successive 67 to move to 10-under at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

Neither of the two has ever won on the PGA Tour but will go out together in the last group on Sunday. Harris English, a four-time winner, is one further back, with a three-shot gap to Justin Suh and Emiliano Grillo, who are in joint fourth place.

PGA Tour winners Hovland, Scheffler and Burns hoping to pounce

Some of the field’s more high-profile players include PGA Championship runner-up Viktor Hovland (-5), world number one Scottie Scheffler (-4) and defending champion Sam Burns (-3), who will still feel they have an outside chance of winning on Sunday.
