Floyd Mayweather not only seeks to shine in the ring, where he has gone 50-0, but also outside of it, where he knows very well how he wants to invest his enormous fortune. We have seen his extensive garage collection, where you can see a large number of luxury brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, among others; and he’s never been shy in showing off the bling.

However, the American boxer has opened his wallet on a new world, that of art, demonstrated during his visit to Art Basel in Miami, where he enjoyed a guided tour and took the opportunity to buy some famous works.

Mayweather’s fortune for a dozen works of art

Art Basel is a place where many celebrities go, and just a few days ago Leonardo DiCaprio, Martha Stewart, Amar’e Stoudemire and Sylvester Stallone, among others, visited. On Wednesday Mayweather did the same, arriving alongside friends including Jas Mathur, James McNair, Deon Taylor and Jona Rechnitz, and he did not hesitate to spend a whopping 3.1 million dollars in around an hour.

The boxer paid for between 10 and 12 pieces, including four by Andy Warhol, a sculpture of a giant stack of $100 bills burned along with a duffel bag full of more money, and others from Robert Indiana and Alexander Calder, sources close to the US news outlet TMZ have said.

As reported, these are perhaps not the only purchases that Floyd Mayweather has been making recently, as it has become a regular thing to see him investing his money in a big way.
