Global industry leaders align with SIGA for summit on female leadership
One of SIGA’s founding members Mastercard will host the summit in March with a clear focus for leadership.
The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has once again gained the support of global multi-industry leaders in its effort to promote female leadership in sport and embrace equity. The announcement was made on Wednesday as SIGA unveiled 20 new speakers for the Summit on Female Leadership in Sport, which will be hosted by Mastercard on March 7th in New York.
The summit offers attendees an opportunity to share their experiences, connect with like-minded individuals, and exchange ideas on the challenges and opportunities facing women in leadership roles in sport. Key topics to be discussed include good governance, athlete activism, mentorship, youth development and protection, commercializing women’s sport, and female leadership in action.
Featuring live panels, keynote speeches, and one-on-one interviews, the Summit on Female Leadership in Sport aims to celebrate International Women’s Day and drive positive change through SIGA’s ongoing efforts, including the #SIGAWomen Global Mentorship Programme.
The 20 newly added speakers for the summit are high-level executives from a diverse range of organizations, including Mastercard, MLB, Wilson Sporting Goods, TATA CS, M&T Bank, NWSL, Athletes Unlimited, Octagon, Under Armour, Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, WSF, PeacePlayers US, and Girls4Tech, among others.
With this support from industry leaders, SIGA’s efforts to promote equity and female leadership in sport continue to gain momentum, and the organization remains committed to driving positive change in the sports industry.
In-person passes for the Mastercard Tech Hub in Manhattan are limited and available at USD 350,00. Digital passes are free with a donation option, and all income will be invested back into the SIGA Women programme.
The SIGA Summit on Female Leadership in Sport is set to be a thought-provoking and informative event, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from the experiences of leading industry figures, network with peers, and help drive positive change in the world of female leadership in sport.
