Hecher Sosa inks powerful tattoo after Dana White’s UFC words
The young fighter has earned his first UFC contract and carries White’s words on his skin as a tribute.
Hecher Sosa is already dreaming of carving out his own story in the UFC, the world’s biggest mixed martial arts competition, after securing his first contract with the company following victory over Mackson Lee in Dana White’s Contender Series on September 17.
What does Hecher Sosa’s tattoo say?
Sosa will always remember that fight, not only for what it means to his career but also for Dana White’s words to him after the win – words that came just weeks after the Canary Islander had lost his father.
White handed him a note, and Sosa didn’t hesitate to turn it into a tattoo. “Be the fucking reason your last name means something one day,” Sosa said: “That message went straight to my heart and to all my fans. It’s a moment I’ll never forget, for both the bad and the good, and it will remain etched in my skin and in my heart.”
The tattoo is something Sosa hopes to display proudly in the octagon, where he plans to bring Dana White’s words to life in memory and honor of his father.
