The stadium-layout at the Waste Management Phoenix Open is one of the greatest arenas in pro golf. We’re not talking about the most beautiful or the most difficult, we’re talking about a place where 20,000 fans are surrounding the hole from tee to green on both sides with drinks in hand and ready to roar. The tournament has been growing year after year and in 2025, fans continue to rush to get a seat on the 16th hole to be part of the action.
2025 saw Emiliano Grillo add to the list and make hole-in-one No. 12 at the 16th hole in Scottsdale:

We’re still waiting for a hole-in-one at the 2025 event, but we have two full days left as the rain and cold has caused delays and problems for the organizers who are trying to get the event finished before the Super Bowl on Sunday. The event is so popular and the attendance is so amazing that it makes most of us golf fans wonder why more courses and events don’t set up something similar. The Coliseum, the par-3 no. 16, is a party from the moment the tournament starts until it finishes. It’s a great atmosphere that most people and golfers enjoy although some more traditional fans might disagree.
It would be great to see another hole-in-one on the 16th in 2025!
