Update:

Jannik Sinner defeated rival Carlos Alcaraz at the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia, taking home a huge cash prize.

The Italian was a comprehensive winner with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the final. It was a form of revenge for Sinner, who suffered a heavy defeat to Alcaraz in the final of the U.S. Open last month.

Speaking after Saturday’s victory, Sinner paid tribute to Alcaraz: “Carlos, because especially this season we played many, many times, I lost also many times against Carlos, it’s a huge pleasure and and and an honor to share the court with him, but at the same time, you want to get better as a tennis player."

Elsewhere in the Saudi tournament, Novak Djokovic retired from his third-place match against Taylor Fritz. Djokovic lost a 75-minute first set to the American and was unable to play on due to injury.

The Six Kings Slam is a four-day exhibition tournament held in the purpose-built The Venue stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament is not an ATP-sanctioned event so players do not receive any rankings points for taking part but there is a big financial incentive.

For 2025 the total prize purse for the tournament is $13.5 million, with $6 million of it going to Sinner as the champion.

This year’s tournament was the second edition, bringing together six of the world’s best players. Every match was streamed live on Netflix as part of a new partnership with the streaming giant.
