How much do players get paid for playing in the Solheim Cup?

Spain has been selected to host the 2023 Solheim Cup, according to the Ladies European Tour.

Update:
The Ladies European Tour has revealed that Spain has been chosen as the host country for the 2023 Solheim Cup.

The Solheim Cup is a highly anticipated event in the world of golf that takes place every two years. It is a prestigious tournament that women’s professional golf teams eagerly compete for. Players from both European and US teams eagerly exchange their golf clubs for the opportunity to participate in this highly esteemed event.

The first cup occurred in 1990, most recently in September 2021, at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. In their previous match, Team Europe achieved a victory over the Americans with a final score of 15-13.

But is there any money being earned by the players?

In this age of golfers swimming in cash like Scrooge McDuck, it’s quite shocking to discover that the Solheim Cup is a no-money zone. Given the size of the tournament and its importance, the players play for the commitment to their country rather than for a purse.

This competition is the equivalent of the men’s Ryder Cup. The truth is that although there is no money exchange. There is a commitment to charity by the organizing body. Back in 2027, the US tournament was able to raise up to $2 million in philanthropy.
