Update:

Alex Pereira took revenge in spectacular fashion in Las Vegas, regaining the UFC light heavyweight title that Magomed Ankalaev had taken from him back in March. The fight lasted barely a minute before Pereira ended it with a brutal first-round TKO – a finish that will go down in UFC history.

Meanwhile, Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili successfully defended his bantamweight belt for the third consecutive time, earning a unanimous decision win over Cory Sandhagen. The American started fast and aggressive but faded as the fight wore on.

How much money did Pereira and Ankalaev make at UFC 320?

When fighters sign with the UFC, their initial contracts usually cover a set number of fights, with pay depending heavily on results. Starting salaries range from $10,000 to $30,000 per fight, just enough to cover training and travel costs. But as fighters rise through the ranks and grow their fan base, their contracts become much more lucrative. Once established, elite competitors can earn between $500,000 and $3 million per fight, not including sponsorships or bonuses.

For Pereira, the win came with a substantial payout. The Brazilian received a base salary of $750,000, another $500,000 for winning the title, and a $50,000 performance bonus, bringing his total to around $1.3 million – before adding in sponsor deals and other income.

Ankalaev, as the former champion, earned a $1 million base purse along with a $50,000 bonus for performance, giving him a total of $1.05 million, also excluding sponsorship income.
