Jake Paul will take on Tommy Fury at New York’s Madison Square Garden on 6 August.

Tommy’s brother, Tyson Fury, said in an interview that he was so confident in his brother winning the bout that he would bet $100,000 on him.

Paul responded to the British boxer in a video saying he’d accept the bet but mocked Tyson for the amount he would place on his younger brother.

$1 million for the Paul-Fury winner

Tyson hit back saying he’d up the ante to $1 million, adding that he’s not confident Paul actually has that much money. Tyson said he wanted the money to be put in escrow and then given to the winner after the bout.

Paul and Tyson Fury have agreed to a $1 million bet on the August fight, although Tyson wasn’t sure about Paul’s ability to put the money forward.

“I don’t think you’ve got a million dollars,” Tyson said. “And I ain’t talking about crypto. I’m talking about real, U.S. greenbacks.”

Paul responds to Tyson

After Tyson doubted the American social media personality, Paul reacted, saying he would contact his lawyer and get the money into escrow “right away”, before questioning if Tyson really had full confidence in his brother winning.

“The heavyweight champion of the world, a million dollars is all you want to bet?” the 25-year-old said. “You want to go with some chump change like that, no problem.”

Paul confident ahead of fight

Over a month from the fight, Paul was quick to show his confidence ahead of entering the ring with the younger Fury. He mentioned spending the winnings on a Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a Ferrari 296 GTB and a Richard Mille McLaren watch.

“I’m gonna take your money and spend it on some good s---, though,” Paul said.

Paul is 5-0 as a pro boxer. Tommy Fury is 8-0 as a pro. The 23-year-old has gained celebrity notoriety in the United Kingdom after appearing on the reality show “Love Island.”
