Here’s the action that’s on offer ahead of the huge clash between Murtazaliev and Tszyu.

Here’s the action that’s on offer ahead of the huge clash between Murtazaliev and Tszyu.

The Caribe Royal Hotel in Orlando is the lucky place to be when Murtzaliev takes on Tszyu on Saturday, 19 October 2024 (8pm ET).

The 12-round main fight will see IBF Super Welterwight champion Bakhram Murtazaliev look to defend his belt against Tim Tszyu.

However, ahead of that bumper clash, we have plenty of undercard action to get excited about, so let’s have a look:

Main Event (Around 11 p.m. ET)

IBF Super Welterweight Title: Bakhram Murtazaliev vs. Tim Tszyu

Undercard (8 p.m. ET)

Yoenis Tellez vs. Johan González; Super Welterweights
Mateo Tapia vs. Endry Saavedra; Middleweights
Carlos Jackson vs. Ryan Lee Allen; Super Bantamweights
Damazion Vanhouter vs. Nosa Divine Nehikhare; Cruiserweights
Roberto Raul Rivera Gómez vs. Martin Díaz; Featherweights

The co-main event will see Yoenis Tellez take on Johan González.

Tellez (8-0), a multi-time National Youth Champion, has a record of six wins via knockout from his 8 fights. The 24-year-old Cuban made a huge impression on the scene when he became the first fighter to stop Sergio Garcia. This will be his fifth fight at the Caribe Royale.

As for Venezuelan challenger González (35-3), he is 4-1 in his last five bouts and 1-1 in 2024. He has won all but one of his fights via knockout, making this clash extremely interesting.

Going back to the main event, the tension has been rising but the mutual respect is there from both men, who know just how huge the job is that awaits them in the ring. “Murtazaliev is a dog” Tszyu said. “That always presents a tremendous task. He’s strong, and he’s got a competitive edge. I’m looking forward to fighting someone like that”.

“I was on the same card as Murtazaliev once and I do remember thinking that he’s a tall guy, but most of my opponents are taller than me. We gave each other a little eye-to-eye, like we knew we’d see each other down the road.”

“The best part of fighting Tim Tszyu is that he won’t run,” commented Murtazaliev. “He is coming to fight. I love fighting in the center of the ring. It’s going to be a great fight for the fans to watch on Saturday night.”

The event will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with the action streaming exclusively on Prime Video for all Prime members in the United States and select countries.
