SIGA expands sporting integrity role in Asia at B20 Summit
The Sport Integrity Global Alliance is taking part in the CII Partnership Summit in India as it expands its presence across the continent.

Member of the B20 on a personal capacity since January 2021, SIGA’s Global CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros is speaking at the 28th edition of the CII Partnership Summit, held in New Delhi, from 13-15 March 2023, under India’s Presidency of the G20/B20.
SIGA on corporate governance
The Summit has been organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India. Engaging over 2000 in-person delegates and thousands following online via live streaming, the Summit aims at furthering the agenda of strengthening partnerships and shaping new economic collaborations between countries, as well as among businesses – download the event programme.
The SIGA Global CEO is participating in the high-level panel entitled “Good Corporate Governance – Imperative for ESG Compliance” on Tuesday, 14 March 2023, taking place from 11:15 to 12:15 local time (06:45-07:45 am CET).
The session addressed the importance of good corporate governance and explores how to ensure impactful ESG frameworks are implemented to deliver viability and sustainability. It also underscores SIGA’s commitment to progressive reform in the critical areas of ESG and to enabling Sport and the wider global industry to evolve in positive ways through collaborative, multi-shareholder and supported reform.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO of Stewardship Asia Centre, Temasek Trust, and will be streamed live on YouTube.
Member of the “B20 Task Force on Inclusive GVCs for Resilient Global Trade and Investment”, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros will also participate in its second meeting, on Wednesday, 15 March.
The setting for the Summit could not be timelier, as SIGA is rapidly expanding its global role and membership base. During his trip to India, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros will also participate in several meetings with global business leaders, international organisations and local SIGA partners with the aim of further strengthening action-oriented cooperation and advancing greater Sport Integrity across Asia around the globe.
