Terence Crawford handcuffed at gunpoint in Omaha after title parade
The undisputed super middleweight champion was stopped by police in his hometown just hours after a parade in his honor.

Terence Crawford became the undisputed 168-pound champion after defeating Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez. Now, the American boxer has been detained at gunpoint by police in his hometown after driving recklessly in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Omaha Police Department and Mayor John Ewing issued a statement confirming that an internal investigation has been launched into the incident involving Crawford.
“Shortly before 1:30 a.m., officers working in the downtown area observed a vehicle being driven recklessly near North 12th and Capitol Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted on Cass Street. While speaking with the driver, an officer observed a firearm on the driver’s side floorboard. For safety reasons, the four occupants were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint. After verifying the driver’s license, the driver was identified as Mr. Crawford and issued a citation for reckless driving.”
Mayor Ewing spoke directly with the boxer after the incident and promised full transparency once the police department’s internal review is completed.
Passenger posts video of Crawford’s arrest
