“Video for the ages!” -Bale gets first hole-in-one
Former Real Madrid player Gareth Bale was celebrating a win of his own while his old team was suffering Champions League elimination.
Gareth Bale did not share in the heartbreak of his former team Real Madrid, who was eliminated from the Champions League on a 5-1 aggregate by Manchester City. Instead, Bale was celebrating his first ever hole-in-one in golf.
Bale’s love for golf isn’t anything new - his infamous “Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that oder.” flag will be talked about forever - but he’s dedicated much more of his time to the sport since retiring from soccer back in January.
A friend filmed Bale getting ready to take a shot. Bale is heard saying, “this is such a hard shot”, but his friend calls it, saying “Hole-in-one time! Never had one, this is the hole to do it”. And so Bale does it! As the ball goes in, Bale runs towards the camera in celebration as his friend says, “he got it! This is a video for the ages! Wow!”
