Update:

Coming just after the third major of the men’s golfing season - the U.S. Open - and the PGA Tour’s final Signature Event of the year - the Travelers Championship - the Rocket Classic 2025 at Detroit Golf Club in Michigan is in an awkward spot in the calendar, with many of the world’s top stars, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, choosing to take a break after a tough recent schedule.

There are, however, still a few big names teeing it up this week, with world No. 5 Collin Morikawa the highest-ranked player in the field. U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley, who won the Travelers, also features, along with 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama.

What is the projected cut at the Rocket Classic 2025?

As is the case for the vast majority of PGA Tour events, the field is cut after the conclusion of the second round on Friday.

The top 65 players and ties make the cut, which ended up being at 6-under par - unusually low.

Which players missed the cut at the Rocket Classic 2025?

After the completion of the second round, Wyndham Clark (-4), Max Homa (-3), Rickie Fowler (-2) and Tom Kim (-1) are the most high-profile players who won’t be around for the weekend.

Rocket Classic 2025 prize money: how much does the winner get?

Although the tournament is significantly less lucrative than the last two on the calendar, it is actually one of the better-paying regular-season events on the PGA Tour.

Of the $9.6 million total prize purse, the winner will take home $1,728,000, with the runner-up also collecting seven figures ($1,046,400).
