What is the cutline at the 2025 3M Open? These are the players going home early
Canadian Adam Svensson led the field at the start of day two having opened the tournament with a course record 11-under 60 on Thursday.
Day two play is well underway at the 2025 3M Open and several big names are packing their bags in Blaine, Minnesota.
With soft conditions and low scores dominating the early rounds at TPC Twin Cities, this could be a low cutline for players to target. Anyone failing to reach that mark through 36 holes will be going home.
For players near the FedExCup cut-off point, missing the cut here could have major implications with just one regular season event remaining before the playoffs.
The figure will change throughout the day two play, but the projected cutline is set at -4 as of 3pm ET. For the most up to date information, head over the PGA Tour website.
The likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are not taking part in this week’s tournament, meaning that we could see an outsider come through at the 2025 3M Open.
In their absence, Adam Svensson led the field at the end of day one with an outstanding 11-under score of 60. Svensson ended the day with an eagle putt to set a new course record.
However for many fans it was the return to form of Rickie Fowler that will be the big story line from the opening rounds. The US golfer has struggled for consistency in recent years but he posted a bogey-free 6-under round of 65 at TPC Twin Cities.
“At the end of the day, good golf solves a lot of things,” Fowler told reporters on Thursday evening. “Luckily I’ve been starting to play a little bit better these last few months and had some decent finishes. … Ultimately, I think my initial goal is to make it to BMW and be inside the top 50, but we’ll take it day by day for now.”
