The Indian Wells tournament is one of the most prestigious competitions on the ATP, which is why it is sometimes referred to as ‘the fifth grand slam’. The best players in the world usually participate in this tournament, although this year, current world number one Novak Djokovic will not be able to be compete due to his vaccination status.

This tournament, one of the most relevant in the Masters 1000 category, offers considerable prize money and ATP points for the winners.

The Indian Wells Open is a Masters 1000 event, and this means that many points are at stake. After the grand slam tournaments and the ATP finals, these competitions offer the highest number of points for the winners.

Players are rewarded with points from simply qualifying for the competition. All 96 participants will receive points starting from the first round.
