Xander Schauffele’s win at Royal Troon marked the end of the Majors season, and thus, the countdown to the 2025 Masters begins with the upcoming PGA Tour 3M Open. The competition signals the final stretch for FedEx Cup points. Let’s not forget that whoever wins the FedEx Cup takes home $25 million over a pot of $100 million, making tournaments like the 3M Open all the more important.

The TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota, will host the 3M Open. The course was designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer with the help of another known golfer, Tom Lehman. TPC Twin Cities first opened its doors in 2000. In 2018, the par-71 and 7,431 yard course underwent a slight reshaping with the addition of 364 yards, following Kenny Perry’s devastating -21 win.

The 3M Open follows a typical strokeplay format, consisting of two rounds of 72 holes with a cut after 36 holes. After four rounds, the player with the lowest overall score wins the competition

The 3M Open field is filled with top-notch talent this year

The course will welcome five of the world’s top thirty players, with Sahith Theegala being one of the major attractions for the tournament. Tony Finau is looking to repeat a victory at the course, while Lee Hodges is looking to win it again after last year’s triumph at Twin Cities.

The world’s top amateur golfer, Luke Clanton, will join the field at TPC Twin Cities after earning a sponsor exemption. Clanton is a welcome addition to the course, giving it a unique touch. Look out for him in the future.
