F1 Italian GP 2022: schedule, TV and where to watch the Monza race live online

Formula 1 is on the third and final stop of the triplet after the summer break, and is in Italy for the sixteenth round of the F1 World Championship.

This weekend they are competing in Monza, where the historic Italian Grand Prix will be held, the home circuit of Ferrari. The crowd will be cheering on Charles Leclerc, who will be starting the race in pole position, the eighth time for him this season. The fans will be hoping to witness Ferrari’s resurgence after a host of disappointing races.

Max Verstappen will be starting at seventh position due to grid penalties, along with eight other drivers who were penalized for modifications to their car’s gearbox or engine. Lewis Hamilton is among them, and he will be starting second to the last on the grid.

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will be wearing yellow to celebrate 75 years of Scuderia Ferrari. The team has high hopes with Leclerc’s pole, but his teammate Carlos Sainz will be starting near the back.

Leclerc does have some other things going for him- Red Bull drivers will be starting way behind him, with Verstappen at seventh place, and Checo Perez at 13th.

The Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio D’Italia 2022 will take place over 53 laps of the 3,600-mile Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday, Sept. 11. The race can be followed on television on ESPN, while the live stream can be viewed on Watch ESPN and the ESPN App.
