The 2024 F1 season makes its first stop in the United States, returning once again to a city where, in each of the past two years, fans of the motorsport have enjoyed a festival of fun. Florida is preparing for the latest edition of the Miami Grand Prix, which - like every race this season - promises plenty of excitement.

Can challengers close gap on Verstappen in Miami?

After five races, reigning title holder Max Verstappen leads the World Drivers’ Championship standings, while his Red Bull team-mate Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez currently leads the chasing pack, just ahead of Ferrari pair Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

Miami could be the circuit where Verstappen’s hegemony is confirmed for another season - the Dutchman is chasing his fourth straight F1 crown - or where the fight for the title becomes a much tighter one.

How to buy tickets for the 2024 Miami GP

Like every year, there is set to be a great turn-out at the Miami International Autodrome. In 2023, the three days of racing in Miami Gardens attracted a total of 270,491 spectators, a figure that the event’s organisers are now aiming to surpass this weekend.

Racing lovers in Miami have been quick to snap up one-day tickets for Sunday, the day of the main race. On the F1 website’s ticketing portal, they’re sold out. However, the platform still shows tickets available as a package, if you choose to attend both Saturday and Sunday, or all three days. The prices are high, though.

For a three-day Miami GP pass, your options range from $850 to $10,000, depending on the area of the circuit you want to watch from.

The $850 tickets are located on one of the bends in the Central Marina area, while the most expensive ticket is in the Paddock Club, where food and drinks are included and you’ll enjoy a prime location right in front of the teams’ garages.
