During Friday’s joint practice between the Las Vegas Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers, wide receiver Davante Adams sustained an injury. The incident occurred when he was hit by 49ers defensive back Charvarius Ward, causing Adams to point to his calf as he made his way to the locker room.

As he made his way towards the locker room, the highly esteemed wide receiver, who had been selected for the All-Pro team, gestured towards his calf with a subtle and noticeable movement.

The Raiders head coach, Josh McDaniels, stated that while he is unsure of the 30-year-old’s recovery time, he believes the injury is not severe. “I don’t think it was crazy serious. It was a bang-bang play,” McDaniels commented after Friday’s practice.

Adams, a three-time All-Pro team member, had 100 catches, 1,516 yards, and 14 touchdowns in his first season with the Raiders. He gained prominence with the Green Bay Packers, benefiting from playing with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Adams, who was traded to Las Vegas from Green Bay in an impactful and highly publicized deal last year, has demonstrated his exceptional skills by leading the NFL in touchdown receptions for an impressive two out of the past three seasons.

Updates will be given as more information becomes available regarding the extent of his injury and how long he may be sidelined.
