Stephanie Beatriz, a renowned actress recognized for her outstanding performance in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” has been selected as the grand marshal for the 107th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, a highly anticipated event. The grand marshal leads race day events and activities, usually assigned to an eminent individual by the track owner or race sponsor.

Her command moment will be broadcasted live until the checkered flag is waved, signifying the end of the race.

Beatriz’s upcoming role in “Twisted Metal,” a high-octane action-comedy series on Peacock, enhances her presence as the grand marshal. The show, premiering exclusively on July 27, 2023, is based on the popular PlayStation game series and features Anthony Mackie alongside Beatriz. Her involvement in the Indianapolis 500 generates excitement among on-site spectators and the broader television audience.

The President of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, J. Douglas Boles, expressed his excitement for Beatriz’s involvement, recognizing her extensive career and the upcoming release of “Twisted Metal.” Boles commended Beatriz for bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the pre-race ceremonies, emphasizing that her presence will be appreciated by those at the track and the viewers at home.

Beatriz’s recent achievements include her portrayal of ‘Mirabel’ in Disney and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s critically acclaimed film “Encanto,” which won the prestigious Best Animated Feature Film award at the 94th Academy Awards. She and the cast performed their hit song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” during the award show, captivating the audience. Furthermore, Beatriz delighted fans by reprising her role as ‘Mirabel’ in the live stage production of “Encanto Live” at the renowned Hollywood Bowl, bringing the film-to-concert experience to Disney+.

Apart from her artistic accomplishments, Beatriz is known for advocating LGBTQ+ rights and promoting the visibility and celebration of Latinos in the entertainment industry. As a bisexual Latina, she has been actively involved in these causes and was recently honored by the Hispanic Federation in New York City. Beatriz currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter, demonstrating her dedication to her craft and personal life.
