Giants 15 vs 33 Patriots summary stats, score and highlights | NFL Week 13
The New England Patriots beat the New York Giants to stretch their win streak to 10 games as they head into their BYE as the top team in the AFC.

Show key events only
Maye tossed his second of two TD passes to Kyle Williams at the end of the first half. The Pats would add a few more field goals for good measure and let their defense take care of the rest as Maye got showered with MVP chants all night. He finished the game 24/31 for 282 yards and 2 TDs.
The Pats now hit their BYE week on a 10 game win streak and at the top of the AFC.

If Drake Maye was an MVP candidate before the night started he only strengthened his case on Monday night. He was near perfect all night and opened his account with this TD pass to Kayshon Boutte and the Pats had scored 17 points on 16 offensive snaps to this point of the game.

Maye's MVP case
Could the second year QB really be the MVP of the NFL? If he keeps on playing like, this it would be hard to argue. He is in the top 5 of every statistical category for a QB, and has his team in prime position for a deep playoff run. The QBs who have dominated the MVP race for the last 7 years are all way out of the race and much more worried on making the playoffs. Matt Stafford is currently leading the race, despite two INT performance in a loss to the Carolina Panthers. Right behind him sits Drake Maye who might be able to jump the LA QB with a big performance tonight. Dak Prescott is in 3rd and Jordan Love is in 4th but those two are a long shot away from Stafford and Maye when you look at the odds board.
MVP ODDS
Stafford (-105)
Maye (+135)
Prescott (+1200)
Love (+1300)
Allen (+2000)

AFC standings
Taking a look at the standings in the AFC we see the Pats and the Broncos all alone at 10-2 on the year. Both teams had both losses by Week 3 of their season and both have been red hot since then. The Broncos currently have the pole position for the top spot in the conference but there is still a long way to go in the season. Tonight the Pats have to take care of business before heading into the their BYE week and hoping for a slip up from the Broncos although Denver plays Las Vegas next week. It’s going to be a race to the finish line for these two teams who look like they are going to be in a two horse race for the one seed.
Dart back under center
What a strange season it has been in New York. For the first time in a long time there was hope of a brighter future, but that feeling was short lived. The two rookie sensations, Jaxson Dart and Cam Skateboo sparked a flame of excitement that hasn’t been seen in the Big Apple for decades. First Skateboo went down with injury and then Dart. Cam’s injury is going to keep him out until next season, but Dart comes back today looking to build on his first few games as a starter in the NFL. He took a big hit against the Bears and has been in concussion protocol since early November, but he is back for the primetime game tonight.
Star watch: Patriots
In just his second year, Drake Maye has turned this New England Patriots team from a bottom feeder in the NFL to the hottest team in the league. We know how demanding they are with their QBs in New England after decades of having Tom Brady, and now it seems they finally have someone to fill his shoes. Maye has thrown for 3,130 yards, 21 TDs and 6 INTs this season and has led is team to nine straight wins and put the Pats in position to take the one seed in the AFC. His 71% completion percentage is the best in the league, his 3,130 yards are third in the league, and his 21 TDs are 5th in the league. This kid is a star, and he’s only just getting started.
Star watch: Giants
Jaxson Dart was taken by the Giants with the 25th pick in the NFL Draft, but he had to wait his turn to get his chance. Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston were brought in, and Wilson was named QB1, but that lasted all of a few weeks. Dart started in Week 4 and led the Giants to a win over the Chargers, and then over the Eagles just a couple weeks later. It was a sensational start, but reality started to bring the Giants back down to Earth. Dart and New York lost four straight and Dart was sidelined against the Bears with a concussion that kept him out for the next few weeks. In 7 starts, Dart has 1,417 yards, 10 TDs and 3 INTs while completing 62.7% of his passes. He also has 317 yards on the ground and another 7 rushing TDs. Tonight we get to see the Giants rookie QB go up against one of the top defenses in the league.
Patriots last game
The Patriots took on a desperate Bengals team that needed a win before their starting QB Joe Burrow came back under center. Joe Flacco didn’t have a great game because the Pats defense kept him under wraps but a pick six in the 2nd quarter put the Bengals up 10-0 early in the game, but Drake Maye would respond for the next two quarters. He tossed a TD pass to Hunter Henry to cut the deficit to 10-7, and then Flacco tossed a pick six which put NE in the lead. It was 17-13 at half, and that’s when the Pats defense and special teams closed out the game. The defense allowed just one TD the rest of the way and Andy Borregales hit three FGs in the second half. Cincy had a chance take the lead in the final seconds but Flacco’s pass on the NE 26 was batted down and the Pats hung on for a 26-20 win to stretch their streak to 9.
Giants last game
In the latest masterpiece from the mad genius that is Jameis Winston the Giants almost stunned the Detroit Lions in an overtime thriller from the Motor City. Winston passed for 366 yards, and two TDs while catching another TD which gave the Lions a 10 point lead early in the 4th quarter. Jahmyr Gibbs would rally the Lions with a 49 yard TD run on a day that he had 219 yards and 2 TDs on 15 carries. Detroit would force OT with a FG from Jake Bates, and Gibbs called game with a 69 yard game winning TD in the overtime session.
We are live from Foxborough
Hello everyone and welcome to Gillette Stadium where the Patriots are back home after a narrow win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week to rattle off their 9th straight win and now they have a chance to make it 10 in a row before heading into their BYE week next week. The New York Giants have lost six straight and know that their seasons is over, but they would love to finish off the season with some positive sensations with their rookie QB back under center. They can start that tonight against a Pats team that have to make sure they take care of business tonight before thinking about their BYE week.
