The Green Bay Packers took the top spot in the NFC North with their division win over the Chicago Bears thanks to Jordan Love’s three TD passes.

Show key events only
The Bears were knocking on the door with a chance to tie the game, but when it mattered most the Packers D came up with the play of the night to seal the game and take the lead in the NFC North.
Josh Jacobs had a solid night and helped the Packers control the time of possession and had some big runs on the game winning drive late in the fourth quarter. He had 86 yards on 20 carries and the game winning TD with just over 3:00 to go in the fourth quarter.
The Packers would tie the game up with a great misdirection play that left Loveland wide open in the end zone. Williams had a rough start to the game but he started to get out of the pocket and throw the ball on the move and that changed the game. He went 19/35 fo 186 yards and 2 TDs and an INT.
Love hit Christian Watson for his second TD connection to stretch the lead out to 10 and take the wind out of Chicago's sails. Love ended the night with 234 yards, and 3 TDs on 17/25 passing. He's got 7 TDs in the last two games and he's proving that he is one of the most clutch players in the league.
The Bears got into the end zone with a 17 play drive to cut he lead to three with a two point conversion after this amazing pass and catch from Caleb Williams and Zaccheaus. The Bears had some momentum and seemed to be in control of the game for a moment.
All Jordan Love did on Sunday afternoon from Lambeau was thrown bombs. His second TD of the game was a 45 yard beauty to Bo Melton.
Love and the Packers started to roll in the second half and he hit Christian Watson with a 23 yard TD bomb to make amends for the early mistake. After throwing 4 TDs on Thanksgiving, Love had another big game to make you believe he is ready for those big games in January.
The Green Bay Packers met the Chicago Bears in an NFC North rumble for the top spot in the division and it was the Pack who ended the evening leading the division after a classic from the Frozen Tundra.
Jordan Love had a big day but it didn't start that way. It was a 0-0 game at the end of the first quarter, and Love got picked off by CJ Gardner-Johnson who gave CHI great field position, but the Bears couldn't capitalize.

WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM GREEN BAY!!!
What’s left: Bears
The Bears are currently at the top of the NFC, if you haven’t heard. They have their work cut out if they are going to stay there. They have one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league, starting with today’s match up against the Packers. This will be their first of two games against Green Bay over the next three weeks. They play Cleveland at home in the middle of those two matchups, and then close out the season in San Francisco and against the Detroit Lions in what will most likely be a huge matchup with loads of playoff implications.
What’s left: Packers
I’m actually not sure who is going to have a tougher close to the seasons, the Packers or the Bears. One thing is for sure, they will play each other one more time after today, but the Packers will have the Broncos sandwiched in between their two matchups with the Bears. After that they will take on the Ravens at home and end the season with a game in Minnesota who will most likely be looking to play spoiler in Week 18.
NFC North switcharoo
Last year the NFC North was the best division in football. This year they may be the case again. But last year it was the Lions and the Vikings that were the top teams in the division. This year the Lions are still in the mix, but sitting in third behind the Bears and the Packers. The Lions are kind of playing the role the Packers were playing last year. They are around, and will probably make the playoffs but probably not be in the race for the 1 seed. There is still a month to go in the season and a lot can be determined but the NFC North is looking like it’s been completely turned on it’s head.
2nd year QBs
Just take a look around the league and see what the second year QBs are doing. You have Caleb Williams who is leading the Bears to the top of the NFC through 13 Weeks. Then you have Drake Maye who has the top team in the AFC with the Pats at 11-2, the best record in the league. Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos are right behind the Pats at 10-2 and have a chance at the one seed in the AFC. Let’s not forget about Jayden Daniels who won the Rookie of the Year and took the Commanders to the NFC Championship. Unfortunately injury had plagued him this season but he should be back to his best next year. It’s still very early, but the 2024 NFL Draft maybe the best QB class ever.

NFC Standings
Having a look at the NFC Standings coming into Week 14, would you believe that the Chicago Bears are the No. 1 team in the conference. With a 9-3 record they are tied with the LA Rams but they currently hold the tie breaker which means if they win out they would get home field and the first round BYE. The Packers are right on their heels with a record of 8-3-1. Who ever wins this game would take the lead in the division and potentialy in the conference. The Eagles are at 8-4 at the top of the NFC East, meanwhile the NFC West has two teams at 9-3, the Rams and the Seahawks, and the Niners are 9-4 and on a BYE.
Star watch: Packers
This was supposed to be Jordan Love’s break out season. After a couple years as the Packers QB1, and taking them to the playoffs in back to back years, the pressure was on Love to deliver like Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers have in the past. He’s far from the MVP conversation with 2,794 yards, 19 TDs and 3 INTs, but he is the perfect QB for what the Packers need. They have a great defense, and they need a QB who can lead drives and win games but more importantly not lose games. These are the kinds of games that Love needs to show he’s on another level. The games that mold a champion. If he can deliver late in the season in a big game like today’s we might see someone making that next step into elite QB status.
Bears star watch
It’s been a long time since the Chicago Bears have had a reliable quarterback. In fact they may never have had a gun slinger quite like Caleb Williams. The former Heisman Trophy winner was taken with the No. 1 pick, and after a rough rookie season he has proven that he is ready not just to take this team back to relevance in the NFC but he is ready to put this city on his back. He set a goal for himself before the season and that was to be the first Bears QB to pass for 4,000 yards and over 70% completion percentage. So far he has 2,722 yards, 17 TDs and 5 INTs and is completing 58.1% of his passes. His personal goals might be a reach, but the Bears are having a sensational season and I’m pretty sure he’d trade in personal accolades for their 9-3 record any time.
Packers last game
The Packers took on the Detroit Lions in a rematch of their Week 1 matchup up in which the Packers made a big statement to the rest of the league, letting everyone know they were going to be a force to reckoned with this season. Jordan Love threw for four TD passes while the Packers defense contained Jahmyr Gibbs to just 68 yards on 20 rushes. Love took over, throwing two TDs first half and had the Packers up 17-14 at half. The Packers came out of the halftime break and scored another TD thanks to Love’s 51 yardTD pass to Christian Watson to take a 24-14 lead. Detroit responded with a TD of their own but Love’s fourth TD pass to Wicks put GB back up by 10. The defense came up with a big stop on 4th down with the Lions inside the GB 25.
Bears last game
The Bears had a Black Friday matchup against the defending Super Bowl champions in their house and they did it by beating them at their own game. Chicago went into Philly and beat the Eagles by roughing them up. They ran for 281 yards as Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift rushed for over 120 yards each. Swift got the first TD of the game after a 15 play drive, and the Bears went into the halftime break up 10-3. The Eagles would score a TD but miss a PAT to keep the Bears in the lead, 10-9. Williams tossed and INT and the Eagles had a chance to take the lead but Hurts fumbled a tush push on 3rd and 1 from the CHI 12 and the Bears would turn that into a TD thanks to Monangai’s TD run early in the 4th quarter. Williams would seal the game on the next possession with a 28 yard TD pass to Cole Kmet and the Bears came out of Philly with their biggest win in a long, long time.
