A look inside Real Madrid’s new kit for the 2023-24 season
The recently released kit which will be worn by old and new stars of Los Blancos incorporates unprecedented golden details.
Real Madrid has unveiled its attire for the 2023-2024 season, revealing notable changes in their new kit. The main novelty lies in the introduction of a gold color, which complements the predominant white and incorporates unprecedented details such as gold and navy blue trims and stripes. Additionally, the inscription “¡Hala Madrid!” is featured on the back of the neck of the shirt. During the official presentation of the kit, Jude Bellingham became the first player to showcase it as a fresh member of the Merengue club, joining the likes of Vinicius, Alaba, Valverde, and Kroos in the campaign.

As the most successful soccer team globally, Madrid has once again chosen Adidas as their clothing manufacturer. True to form, the German multinational has released two versions of the kit: the Authentic edition priced at 150 euros ($165), and the fan edition typically worn by supporters available at 100 euros ($110). There are also other models available, one specifically for women, long-sleeved options, and kits for younger fans. According to Adidas, this kit “embodies 121 years of history, a legacy that belongs to the worldwide family of Madridistas who have made it possible.”
Real Madrid 23/24 Authentic Home Shirt
This garment is an exact replica of the one worn by professional footballers during matches. The new shirt has been refreshed with golden details highlighted by blue lines, serving as a tribute to some of the iconic jerseys worn by past Real Madrid players, as explained by Adidas. The elastic component of the kit maintains a pure white foundation while seamlessly incorporating the elements of the powerful design, resulting in an elegant ensemble that embodies the legendary history of football.
In terms of technical specifications, the shirt features a tailored fit that is ideal for both supporting the team and everyday use. It includes a round neck and ribbed cuffs for added comfort. The jacquard fabric, composed of 100% material, incorporates HEAT.RDY technology. This innovative technology ensures a lighter feel and enables players to stay cool even in high-temperature environments.
To enhance breathability, the shirt incorporates mesh side inserts made from 100% recycled polyester. Furthermore, the back hem is designed to be slightly longer, adding to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the garment.
When it comes to customizing the shirt, the Adidas website provides the option to include the name and number of your chosen Madrid first-team player, or even your own name. The fabric of the shirt naturally includes the heat-transferred club crest.
Although not currently available for purchase, the version showcased by players in advertisements features the FIFA Champions Crest. This emblem is awarded to the victorious teams of the Club World Cup organized by the international federation and Los Blancos have proudly worn it on four occasions in the past.

While it may initially seem similar to the Authentic model, the fan jersey, which is officially licensed, differs from the player-worn version in terms of fabric and other details. The fan jersey maintains a fitted cut, but the predominant material used is polyester (100%), replacing the jacquard fabric.
Additionally, instead of the HEAT.RDY technology, it features AEROREADY technology as an alternative. These variations in fabric and technology contribute to a slightly different structure and performance of the garment, catering to the specific needs and preferences of fans.
In contrast, the crest and other motifs on the fan jersey are sewn on instead of being heat transferred. This meticulous sewing technique ensures high-quality detailing on the jersey. The fabric of it retains the ribbed collar and cuffs, the longer back hem, and the “¡Hala Madrid!” inscription, just like the player version.
However, the fan jersey is designed to be more relaxed, intended for day-to-day wear rather than sports competition, ensuring comfort and a fresh look for fans.
Real Madrid 23/24 home kit for kids
Created specifically for younger fans, this kit comprises a shirt, shorts, and socks, all constructed using the same polyester fabric as the previous model. While it is an official kit, it should be noted that it differs slightly from the player-worn version. The younger fan kit features a classic cut instead of a fitted one, and the shorts have an interlocked design.
