Alarm bells ringing at PSG as virus sweeps through the squad
According to RMC Sport, a virus is circulating in the dressing room that could affect the match against Monaco. Several players are said to be affected.
Problems are surfacing for PSG just three days before facing Bayern in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. According to information from RMC Sport, a virus has made its way into the dressing room and there are several footballers affected just a few hours before facing Monaco at the Louis II in a decisive match to consolidate their position at the top of Ligue 1 .
This morning, some members of the PSG squad woke up to vomiting, stomach pain and muscle fatigue. According to RMC Sport, Galtier’s line-up, which was already conditioned by important absences, could be affected. The names of those infected by the virus are not yet known.
PSG travel to the south of France to face Monaco, and will not be able to count on Messi, who is suffering from a hamstring injury. Added to the absentee list is Kylian Mbappé, who is still recovering from his adductor strain and Verratti is also an 11th hour addition to the physiotherapy room due to a muscular overload. The Parisians, eliminated from the French Cup on Wednesday at the hands of Marseille, have no room to rotate their starting XI against one of the best teams in Ligue 1.
Any updates as to the state of the PSG squad will be reported on AS USA.
