Alejandro Garnacho signs new deal with Manchester United

Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new deal with Manchester United until 2028. The 18-year-old is one of the emerging stars in world soccer, and United have tied him down for the foreseeable future.

Garnacho has made his way into the first team based on fine performances and important goals. The club are currently fighting for a Champions League spot for next season.

Absent from U20 World Cup

Argentina is hosting the U20 World Cup which will begin at the end of May. At a press conference, United manager Erik ten Hag confirmed that they will not give the Argentinian permission to play with his country in the World Cup.

FA Cup final

During the U20 tournament, United will play against their rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final. This will be the first time the two Manchester clubs will meet in the final of the world’s oldest tournament, and Ten Hag wants every member of his squad available.
