Zendejas out in América win

América posted a statement on their social media platforms, stating that Zendenjas had a multiple fracture in his nose and was receiving treatment for it. However, he would need surgery to fully recover.

“After the specialist’s assessment, conservative treatment was given, performing a closed reduction to stabilize the fracture, to later, in a timely manner, perform a surgical intervention,“ the statement read. “After the operation, which will take place after the tournament concludes, recovery time is four to six weeks.”

In the game, that América won 2-1 against the Rayados, Zendejas had to leave on minute 71, his place being taken by Leonardo Suárez. The good news clearly is that the player will remain available for the time being.
