Ancelotti: “I’ll sleep well tonight”

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is pleased with his team after winning their final league game before the World Cup.

Real Madrid won their LaLiga match 2-1 over Cadiz at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday. As that was the final league match before the World Cup break, coach Carlo Ancelotti is feeling pretty good about where the team stands after the first half of the season.

“I think it’s good news for us today,” said Ancelotti. “We got three points that has got us closer to LaLiga’s leaders [Barcelona]. I’ll sleep well tonight, I’ll sleep tight.”

Ancelotti shared his plans for his players before they start back up at the end of December.

“We’re going to rest those players who are staying here. We’ll rest until December 1 and then return to training,” said Ancelotti. “Let’s see if we can have some friendly games, and those playing in the World Cup, well, when they’re back, I’ll give them 10 days of rest before starting.”

“So those playing in the final on December 18, they’ll have 10 days of vacation. They will play against Valladolid on the 31st, if they haven’t eaten too much in those 10 days.”
