Ansu Fati’s future has been a matter of debate at Barcelona for a long time, but if one person has remained firm in his convictions, it has been the player himself, who has often seen how his conviction to succeed at Barça has faded. He sees himself battling against many interests that place him outside the club. This summer was no exception. Ansu Fati received numerous offers but remains committed to his idea of succeeding at Barcelona.

It was recently reported by this newspaper that Paris Saint-Germain is preparing an offer for the Spain international while there is also believed to be a new offer from, of course, the Saudi Arabian market.

Luis Enrique is a fan of Ansu Fati as he demonstrated in his time as Spain coach and, in contrast, Xavi does not quite see him having a place at Barcelona, where, despite Dembélé's imminent departure, he is more of a substitute than first-choice. The coach’s plan for this season includes a four-man midfield and that does not favor Ansu’s options of regular playing time either. Ansu is under contract with Barcelona until June 2027 and has a termination clause of one billion euros.

The 20-year-old has isolated himself from PSG’s offer and doesn’t want to even entertain the idea of playing in Saudi Arabia.

From the club’s point of view, any income from selling Ansu Fati, a player trained in La Masia, would be a net benefit for the club and would alleviate the economic landscape a lot.

On the other hand, the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has tried to move the footballer for months. He was formally offered to a number of Premier League teams. But Ansu is defiant about where he wants to triumph.
