Luis Enrique already has nine new recruits after PSG confirmed the signing of Gonçalo Ramos, a 22-year-old striker, who joins the Parisian side from Benfica. The striker has been high on the wanted list for some time now and joins PSG for five seasons and arrives on loan with a mandatory purchase next year.

Ramos is the ninth signing for PSG after Skriniar, Asensio, Ugarte, Lee Kang-In, Lucas Hernández, Cher Ndour, Arnau Tenas and Ousmane Dembélé (although this deal has yet to be completed).

Last season with Benfica the striker bagged 22 goals and delivered 10 assists and his domestic performances earned him a place in the Portugal squad for the World Cup in Qatar. Ramos hit the headlines after he bagged a hat-trick in the Round of 16 clash against Switzerland. PSG sporting director Luis Campos is a long time admirer of the player from the Algarve but given FFP restrictions last season, PSG couldn’t secure his services.

The signing of Gonçalo Ramos does not end the PSG summer spree with both Randal Kolo Muani and Bradley Barcola expected to join the Parc des Princes side in the next few days.

At present PSG are planning their forthcoming season assuming they will be without Kylian Mbappé, whose immediate future is still up in the air.
