ARGENTINA
Argentina possible starting XI for the friendly game against Panama
The World Champions are ready: Lionel Messi and co. will step out in front of the Argentinian fans to celebrate the third star they achieved in Qatar.
The Argentina National Team will step out wearing the World Cup crown on home turf after 36 years. The historic final against France and the festivities two days later in front of five million people was the last meeting between Scaloni’s side and the people: more than 80 thousand fans are set to watch their game against Panama in a sold-out El Monumental stadium.
Panama are the guest at the party
Lionel Scaloni did not guarantee a starting eleven, yet he made clear in his press conference that it will be a night of tributes to the 26 champions (although, as it is FIFA friendly they will only be able to play a maximum of 17), with Lionel Messi ready to be wrapped by the love of the crowd once again.
Panama will be the guest at the party of champions. Their coach in charge of this match, Jorge Luis Dely Valdés, expressed a few days ago that the Central American team will surely encounter a “hostile” atmosphere, but, at the same time, he expressed his motivation for facing Argentina under such special circumstances. The Panamanian team will play in Buenos Aires with their “B” team as they prioritise the match against Costa Rica in the CONCACAF Nations League.
