The Argentine national team have gathered at the Florida Blue Training Center, Inter Miami’s training camp as Lionel Scaloni’s side prepare for their two games as part of the current FIFA international window.

The current Copa América champions will remain in Miami until 9 October before jetting off to face Venezuela and Bolivia, with the fixtures scheduled for 10 and 15 of October with the objective for the Albiceleste to maintain their top spot in the CONMEBOL table with both Colombia and Uruguay pressing on their heels.

This is not the first time Argentina have chosen Miami as a base to prepare ahead of key games as the Florida Blue Training centre was their base back in June ahead of the 2024 Copa América and the AFA (Argentina FA) also booked the facilities in September 2022, ahead of a friendly match against Honduras.

Miami becomes Argentina’s new home

The AFA has shown a particular recent interest in the United States with the 2026 World Cup looming on the horizon and have plans to create a high-performance center and regional office in Florida.

With the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as new USMNT head coach and with Gerardo Martino and Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, the US is becoming the new destination of choice for high profile Argentines.
