After topping Group J, Argentina will take on World Cup debutants Cabo Verde in the Round of 32. Cabo Verde secured impressive draws against Spain and Uruguay in the group stages but Argentina should have too much quality.

Who could Argentina play in the round of 16?
If Argentina progress they will play the winner of Australia and Egypt. Both teams finished runners-up in their respective groups and have not shown anything to suggest that they are capable of upsetting the reigning champions.

Who could Argentina play in the quarter-final?
If Argentina progress to the quarter-finals they may find themselves up against the winner of Group K, Colombia. They could also face the likes of Switzerland or Ghana if they make an unlikely run to the quarters.

Who could Argentina play in the semi-final?
If Argentina make it through, they will probably come up against one of the powerhouses from their side of the draw. In the semi-final Argentina could face Brazil or England, or potential dark horses Norway and Japan.

Who could Argentina play in the World Cup final?
If Argentina make it back to the World Cup final they will take on whichever team emerges from the other side of the bracket. Spain and France will be the favorites to advance, but Morocco and Germany are also in contention to make it to the World Cup final.
