Arsenal’s Saka has eyes fixed on Real Madrid
English winger Bukayo Saka may be interested in what compatriot Alexander-Arnold is doing with Los Blancos, but has his own target to hit with them.

Despite sitting second in the Premier League table, Liverpool has all but taken control of the title race, powered by Mohamed Salah’s blistering form. The Egyptian leads the league in both goals and assists, outpacing everyone. With the domestic title slipping out of reach, Mikel Arteta now knows Arsenal’s best shot at glory lies in the UEFA Champions League – where they’ll face Real Madrid for a place in the semifinals of Europe’s top club competition.
Arteta’s plans have been hit hard by injuries to key players up front, none more crucial than Bukayo Saka. At just 23, the English winger has proven to be Arsenal’s most decisive player – and now he’s back in training with the Gunners just 12 days before that massive showdown with Madrid.

Saka targeting Real Madrid return
Saka hasn’t featured for Arsenal since December 21, 2024. But now, after completing his first full training session, he’s declared himself ready to return via social media, hinting at a potential call-up for the Premier League match against Fulham on Tuesday, April 1.
Arsenal’s next fixtures are Fulham and Everton in the league – then comes the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium.
Before his injury, Saka had recorded nine goals and 13 assists in 24 matches this season. Now, with two domestic games to rebuild match fitness, he’ll be aiming to hit top form in time for Madrid’s visit to north London.
