Atlanta United drop hip-hop inspired 404 kit
The MLS side will wear the 404 kit for the first time in the home game against Nashville SC on 26 August.
The city of Atlanta (Georgia) has always been associated with creativity and over the past few decades has forged a rich seam in the global hip-hop scene giving the world the likes of Outkast, Ludacris, Future, Goody Mob, Gucci Mane and T.I.
To commemorate that hip-hop influence, the MLS club have combined with Germany sportswear giant Adidas to deliver the ‘404 Kit’. The side from Georgia were keen to pay homage to that “Golden Era” of 90s Atlanta, where the whole city rallied behind the strength of a culture that continues to evolve.
Just like Tory Edwards, co-owner of Atlanta Influences Everything said: “The stars aligned. The only way you could have gotten what happened in Atlanta in the 90s is if you wrote it in a movie.”
Atlanta, the city that influences everything, still lives up to the vitality of the “Golden Era” which put forth an energy consequence to its own hospitality.
Gonzalo Pineda’s men will wear the new ‘404 Kit’ for the first time this weekend as they face Nashville SC at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
The new kit is available now via the club’s official online store.
