Bad Bunny creates a stir among the Barça dressing room

Lamine Yamal is a confessed fan with many from the FC Barcelona squad expected to attend the shows in the Catalan capital as the European tour kickoffs this Friday.

Update:

After wrapping up the 2025-26 LaLiga title, the FC Barcelona squad will put the finishing touch on their hat trick of celebrations—Wednesday’s champions’ dinner and the visit to PortAventura the following day—by attending the opening concert of Bad Bunny’s European tour this Friday at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium.

The Puerto Rican artist, who is scheduled to perform two concerts in Barcelona and ten in Madrid, is one of the most popular figures in the Barça dressing room, especially among the younger players with Lamine Yamal a self confessed fan. In fact, he has even managed to spread this enthusiasm to his more veteran teammates, who will also be attending the concert, as will several members of Hansi Flick’s staff, according to the Catalunya Ràdio podcast ‘Barça Reservat’.

The started at 8 p.m. (local time) and under normal circumstances the squad wouldn’t be able to attend a concert the day before a match with first team players expected to be home before midnight. The Catalan side face Valencia at Mestalla in the last game of the season, however, since winning La Liga on May 10th in El Clásico, Hansi Flick has relaxed the strict rules that the players normally have to adhere to.

As things stand, Bad Bunny is one of the current musical global superstars yet to see his name emblazoned on the FC Barcelona jerseys, unlike other world-famous artists such as Coldplay, Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran or Karol G. The Puerto Rican’s sponsorship arrangement with Adidas is the key stumbling block with the German multinational unwilling to have one of its key assets bearing the brand of one of its biggest rivals, in this case, Nike.
