Barcelona open to offers for forward with World Cup winner revealed as replacement
According to reports, Ferran Torres could leave this summer, with a LaLiga star named as a potential replacement.

Ferran Torres is reportedly on Barcelona’s ‘For Sale’ list, with the club ready to listen to offers for the forward this summer.
The former Manchester City striker’s contract runs until 2027, meaning that this is the final summer window Barcelona can sell the player for a fee before he will be allowed to leave as a free transfer next year.
He has played 40 times this season in all competition, starting 19 games in LaLiga, and found the back of the net on 16 occasions. However, his performances have dipped in 2026 and he has scored just 3 times since the turn of the year as the pressure to perform in the latter stages of the Champions League and LaLiga ramps up. His last goal for the club came back in January, against Elche, who sit just a point above the relegation zone.

Barcelona are LaLiga’s top-scoring side and sit 4 points ahead of Real Madrid with 9 league matches to go, yet they have struggled to find a consistent source of goals from the number 9 position this season. All of Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, and Marcus Rashford have been unable to convince Hansi Flick for a place in the starting XI for a sustained run of games.
Reports across Spain explain that Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez is top of the Catalan club’s shortlist as a replacement for Ferran, should a a gap in the squad open up. Reportedly alongside Julián are the options of Bayern centre-forward Harry Kane and Chelsea’s João Pedro. Julián has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the past, and sporting director Deco is said to be exploring this option.
Until now, Rashford’s future at the club has also been up in the air, with no confirmation from either England or Spain of what shirt he will be wearing next season. However, ESPN explain that Barcelona president Joan Laporta is keen on keeping the English winger in the squad for the 2026/27 season, even if it means coughing up over $35 million for him.
