Barcelona player ratings vs Real Madrid: Pedri runs the show as Ferran and Fermín shine in El Clásico
Pedri controls midfield as Barcelona deliver a composed El Clásico performance, with key contributions across attack and defense.
Barcelona clinched a second successive LaLiga title with a commanding performance against bitter rivals Real Madrid in El Clásico at Spotify Camp Nou. First-half goals from Marcos Rashford and Ferran Torres meant the result was ever in doubt. Here’s how each player rated individually.
Joan García
Another match, another clean-sheet performance built on control and composure. Joan García did not face a constant barrage, but when called upon he delivered, especially in a crucial one-on-one stop against Vinicius Jr.
The Zamora Trophy, awarded to LaLiga’s best goalkeeper, now feels firmly within reach. Spain national team manager Luis de la Fuente may want to take note.
Eric García
A standout performance in a right back role, where Eric García once again showed his adaptability. He frustrated Vinicius throughout the match and produced one crucial intervention to deny what looked like a certain goal.
This was a leadership display as much as a defensive one, exactly the kind of profile Hansi Flick values as Barcelona look toward Champions League ambitions next season.
Pau Cubarsí
Cubarsí delivered a commanding performance in every phase of the game. He organized the defense with maturity beyond his years and even provided cover for Eric when Vinicius tried to break free.
He was strong in the air, sharp in anticipation, and clean in possession. A near-flawless outing.
Gerard Martín
Now settled into his natural role on the left side of central defense, Gerard continues to look like a perfect partner for Cubarsí.
He keeps things simple, reads danger early, and rarely puts his team under unnecessary pressure. Even against an in-form Brahim Díaz, he barely put a foot wrong.
João Cancelo
The Portuguese fullback is strengthening his argument to remain at Barcelona. This was a complete performance, especially in attack, where he consistently created danger down his flank and delivered dangerous balls into the box.
He also set up Fermín with more than one inviting opportunity.
Gavi
Gavi’s work rate and intensity were on full display. He won nearly every duel he entered and refused to back down from anyone.
The crowd responded with applause, and Spain’s coaching staff will see him as a high-energy option built for the World Cup.
Pedri
Pedri dictated the rhythm of the match with calm authority. He moved Barcelona’s structure with effortless control, leaving Real Madrid chasing shadows at times.
This was a performance that reinforced his status as one of Europe’s most complete midfielders.
Dani Olmo
Another strong outing for Olmo, who has finished the season in excellent form. His backheel assist for Ferran stood out as a moment of real quality.
The only downside was his inconsistency in front of goal, where he could have added more end product.
Marcus Rashford
Rashford’s set-piece goal to open the scoring justified Barcelona’s decision to bring him in this season. Operating again from the right side, he also worked hard defensively.
He came close to a second goal, but Thibaut Courtois denied him.
Ferran Torres
Ferran delivered a complete attacking display. His finish into the top corner was outstanding, but his overall contribution went beyond the goal.
He won the foul that led to Rashford’s strike and also produced a brilliant assist that was wasted by the English forward.
Fermín López
Possibly in the best form of his career, Fermín was everywhere. His physical output was relentless, and he consistently won his duels.
He also effectively neutralized Trent Alexander-Arnold in a fiery matchup, refusing to give him any space to operate.
Raphinha
Back after 27 minutes on the sidelines, Raphinha looked slightly off rhythm but still brought his trademark intensity. He featured on the right flank.
Frenkie de Jong
De Jong helped stabilize possession and brought calmness to Barcelona’s midfield structure with his usual smooth distribution.
Marc Bernal
His development continues to draw comparisons to Sergio Busquets, particularly in his positioning and game reading.
Robert Lewandowski
Lewandowski came close to scoring in what may have been his final El Clásico appearance, a moment that nearly capped his legacy night.
