The surprising starting eleven that Hansi Flick fielded last Sunday against Villarreal (1-5) makes predicting Barça’s lineup for tonight’s match against Getafe (watch at 3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT.) something of a risky endeavour. However, considering the distribution of minutes, it’s likely that we’ll see some rotations against Bordalás’ side.

To begin with, Iñaki Peña is expected to replace the injured Ter Stegen. This will be the first official match of the season for the Alicante-born goalkeeper, marking a pivotal opportunity in his career, as a strong start and a solid season as a starter could cement his place in the squad. For now, it’s up to him to dispel any rumours about a potential signing of a free-agent goalkeeper.

Who will play for Barcelona against Getafe today?

In defense, Cubarsí and Balde return to the lineup alongside Koundé and Martínez; Eric is in midfield.

In midfield, Marc Casadó reclaims his spot in the pivot role. Up front, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Lewandowski are virtually guaranteed their places. The final attacking spot goes to Pablo Torre.

Barcelona confirmed XI [4-2-3-1]:

GK: Iñaki Peña

DEF: Koundé - Cubarsí - Martínez - Balde

MID: Casadó - Eric; Lamine Yamal - Pablo Torre - Raphinha

ST: Lewandowski

After 6 match days, Barcelona are top of the LaLiga standings with a 100% win record. Real Madrid are just one point behind with a game out of hand, having played the day before against Alavés. As for Getafe, they are winless so far in the division and a big performance is needed away from home if they are to kick their season into gear.
